Authorities believe the diesel was sourced from various warehouses within the Bukit Kayu Hitam Industrial Area. It was then transferred into the modified compartments within the fuel tanks to be smuggled across the border via the Bukit Kayu Hitam Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex. One trailer was carrying a load of rolled paper, while the other three were empty.
