The government has declassified two out of three special investigative reports concerning the Automated Enforcement System (AES) and the procurement of six littoral combat ships (LCS). These reports were prepared by the Special Investigation Committee on Public Governance, Procurement and Finance (JKSTUPKK) and have now been made available for review.
Details of AES and LCS Reports Declassified

The declassification pertains to the JKSTUPKK reports on the AES and the RM9 billion LCS project. Previously, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) had recommended the complete declassification of the AES report, which was classified as "Top Secret." Concerns were also raised that the LCS report might follow a similar pattern of declassification as the AES project, where information was sealed under the guise of "protecting the government's interest."
Redactions in the AES Report

Despite the declassification of the AES report, certain information was still redacted. The names of the involved companies, specifically Beta Tegap Sdn Bhd and ATES Sdn Bhd, as well as the names of ministers, were blacked out. This occurred even though the information was reportedly in the public domain, drawing criticism previously from the PAC chairman regarding the incomplete declassification.
Un-declassified Defence Ministry Land Swap Report

A third JKSTUPKK report, which focuses on a land swap involving the Defence Ministry, has not yet been declassified. The PAC chairman has formally requested that this report also be declassified, with a letter sent to the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, to facilitate the PAC's review of matters related to the land swap.
