Following the agreement, the victim proceeded to make multiple online transfers. These payments, amounting to RM41,964.62, were dispersed across 16 transactions to eight separate bank accounts between May 2 and May 8.
Threats and Further Demands

The situation escalated when the victim was subsequently asked to pay an additional RM6,000 to a lawyer on May 9. Upon refusing this payment, the victim began receiving threats via WhatsApp from an individual identified as Mr. Lim. These threats included potential harm to his family and the disclosure of personal information belonging to both the victim and his wife on Facebook.
