These professionals will be supported by 22,428 volunteers who will serve as field staff, enhancing the capacity to respond to emergencies across the state.
Extensive Logistic Assets Deployed

The state has prepared a significant number of logistic assets to facilitate rescue and relief operations. This includes 3,637 land-based assets, such as multi-purpose vehicles, 8,619 water-based assets like boats, and 14 air assets, encompassing helicopters and drones. This diverse fleet is intended to ensure effective response across various geographical terrains within Sarawak.
Strengthened Community Emergency Response and Relief Centres

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), composed of community committees in villages and longhouses, has been bolstered to handle initial disaster response actions, particularly in remote interior areas. Furthermore, 658 temporary relief centres have been identified statewide, with a dedicated depot in Kota Samarahan and 28 forward bases prepared as storage sites for food and essential supplies to expedite aid distribution.
