Following her interest, the clerk contacted an individual through WhatsApp. This communication channel was used to arrange the transaction. The seller instructed her to click on a link provided via WhatsApp to make an online payment of RM1,300, which she was asked to do the following day.
Discovery of Unauthorised Bank Transfers

The day after initiating the payment process, the clerk visited a bank in Bahau. It was at this point she discovered that RM9,500 had been transferred from her account to another local bank account belonging to an unknown individual. These transfers occurred on four separate occasions without her consent or knowledge.
