This acquisition grants Hibiscus Petroleum substantial participating interests in several key production sharing contracts (PSCs). These strategically important assets include stakes in oil and gas blocks located offshore Sabah, within Vietnamese waters, and in the Malay Basin off the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
Kinabalu Oil PSC Interest

A core component of the acquisition is FIPC's 60 per cent participating interest in the 2012 Kinabalu Oil PSC. This block is situated off the coast of Sabah and is currently held by Repsol Oil & Gas Malaysia Ltd (RML), one of FIPC's wholly-owned subsidiaries. This provides Hibiscus Petroleum with a significant operational stake in a producing asset within Malaysian waters.
Vietnamese Offshore Block Participation

The transaction also includes FIPC's interests in a block located in Vietnamese waters. Specifically, FIPC holds a 70 per cent participating interest in this block, which is currently operated by Talisman Vietnam Limited (TVL), another subsidiary of FIPC. This expands Hibiscus Petroleum's geographical footprint into the Vietnamese offshore exploration and production sector.
Malay Basin Assets

Furthermore, Hibiscus Petroleum will gain participating interests in two blocks located in the Malay Basin, off the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. FIPC holds a 60 per cent interest in each of these PSCs, which are also currently managed by RML. These acquisitions in the Malay Basin represent further expansion of Hibiscus Petroleum's portfolio within the region.
