National Day Parade to Feature Numerous Surprises for Keluarga Malaysia

The National Day celebration on August 31 will present a significantly different and more expansive programme compared to recent years, incorporating a large number of contingents and assets. The event aims to vividly express this year's theme, "#KeluargaMalaysia Teguh Bersama" (Keluarga Malaysia - Standing Strong Together), through a series of unique and engaging elements designed to foster a spirit of independence among the public. Approximately 50,000 visitors are expected at Dataran Merdeka for the festivities.
Increased Scale of Marching Contingents

The parade will witness an increased participation of 16,000 individuals across various sectors, including ministries, uniformed units, and the private sector. This expansive contingent will commence with bearers of a colossal Jalur Gemilang, followed by 1,000 participants proudly carrying the national flag and state flags. Additionally, contingents representing 27 ministries will be part of the procession.
Diverse and Unique Parade Elements

Beyond the traditional elements, the parade will showcase a variety of distinct features. High-powered motorcycle riders will lead a segment that includes a contingent representing the Orang Asal (indigenous people), national athletes, and local figures and celebrities travelling in vintage cars, all accompanied by a marching band. Furthermore, contingents from the private sector and government-linked companies will present their participation on decorated floats, with a replica of the MEASAT satellite highlighted as a notable attraction.
Showcase of Defence Assets and Performances

The event will also feature a substantial display of the nation's defence capabilities, with nearly 200 units of defence assets on show, each equipped with special cameras to offer a unique perspective. The Royal Malaysian Navy is set to exhibit its assets and the expertise of its personnel. Complementing these displays, attendees can anticipate a human formation performance and musical renditions by local artistes, including Aina Abdul, Alif Satar, and Amir Masdi.
