Following her supposed win of RM80,400 in the ‘Super Lotto’ competition, the victim was instructed that she needed to pay various fees to process and claim her winnings. This created a scenario where the initial prize, though fictitious, served as a lure to justify further financial demands. The scam was initially promoted through an advertisement on Facebook, leading the victim to purchase 20 scratch-and-win tickets for participation.
Sequential Financial Transactions

Between June 14 and June 16, the victim made a total of four transactions, transferring RM6,128 to two different bank accounts. These payments were made under the pretence of covering the necessary fees to secure her winnings. After these transfers, the victim was provided with a 'receipt' indicating that the supposed prize money had been credited to her account.
Realisation of Deception After Account Check

Upon checking her bank account, the victim discovered that no such transfer had occurred. This discrepancy led her to realise that she had been a victim of a scam. Subsequently, she lodged a police report regarding the incident, which is currently being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
