Military Escort and Guard of Honour

A significant number of RMN personnel were present to honour Lieutenant Sivasutan. Nine Navy officers carried his casket, which was draped with the RMN's ensign, to the hearse. This was followed by a funeral guard of honour comprising 14 Navy personnel from the Lumut Base, who stood as a final tribute.
Presentation of the Ensign

A poignant moment during the ceremony was the presentation of the RMN ensign to Lieutenant Sivasutan's mother, R. Paramesvary. This symbolic gesture was performed by the Deputy Commander of the Western Fleet, First Admiral Harisundar Rajoo, signifying the nation's respect and gratitude for his service.
Funeral Procession and Final Rites

The funeral procession, escorted by police and Navy personnel, proceeded to the crematorium. Upon arrival, family members conducted a final prayer, with the military honours having been observed earlier. Lieutenant Sivasutan, aged 31, is survived by his wife, Dr S. Harshiny.
