Calcium Hypochlorite Spill Details

In addition to the nitric acid, 24 drums of calcium hypochlorite were also spilled. This chemical was at a concentration of 70 per cent.
Emergency Response and Cleanup

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department was alerted to the incident at 7:01 PM yesterday. Personnel from the Sabak Bernam and Sungai Besar Fire and Rescue Stations, along with the Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) Special Unit from Rawang, were dispatched to the scene. The operation, involving 24 personnel, concluded with the complete cleanup of the chemical residue at 2:42 AM today. The lorry driver, the sole victim, did not sustain any injuries.
