The coffin carrying Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Mahmud's remains arrived at the DUN Complex atrium at 7:50am from his residence in Demak Jaya. His children, Jamilah Hamidah, Datuk Seri Mahmud Abu Bekir, Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Sulaiman, and Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib, accompanied the procession. His wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib, arrived later, around 8:20am.
Public and Dignitary Attendance

Members of the public began arriving as early as 8am to offer their condolences. State and federal leaders were expected to commence their arrival from around 10am. Among the dignitaries anticipated to attend the funeral was the Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.
Sarawak Leadership Pays Respects

Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg arrived at approximately 9:25am, accompanied by State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki. Other state leaders present included Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, along with several ministers and deputy ministers who came to pay their last respects.
