Advance Bookings for Early 2026 Train Travel Open on November 17

Malaysians can begin booking tickets for the Electric Train Service (ETS) and KTM Intercity for travel between January 1 and April 30, 2026, starting Monday, November 17. This early release by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is intended to assist passengers in planning their journeys in anticipation of upcoming festive periods, public holidays, and school breaks.
Ticket Sales Commencement

Tickets for both ETS and KTM Intercity services for the period of January 1 to April 30, 2026, will be available for purchase from 10 AM on Monday, November 17. This allows travellers ample time to secure their preferred seats for the first four months of the year.
Expanded Service Offerings

From January 1, a revised schedule will be implemented for ETS and KTM Intercity services, with the exception of the Shuttle Tebrau. The ETS will see an increase in daily trips, with 34 services usually operating, supplemented by two additional trips on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for the Kluang–KL Sentral–Kluang sector, resulting in a total of 36 daily services.
KTM Intercity Schedule Adjustments

The KTM Intercity network, encompassing the Ekspres Rakyat Timuran (ERT) and Shuttle Timuran (ST) services, will also operate under a new schedule. This will include 16 daily services, comprising two ERT services and 14 ST trips utilising DMU trains, ensuring continued connectivity across various routes.
Service Suspension and Advisories

Currently, ticket sales for the Ekspres Selatan service connecting JB Sentral and Gemas have been temporarily suspended, with a new announcement regarding its resumption to be made later. Passengers are strongly advised to plan their travel in advance and to consult the latest schedules through the KTMB Mobile application, official social media platforms, the KTMB website, or by contacting the KTMB Call Centre at 03-9779 1200 for updated information.
