The prosecution alleged that between June 12, 2015, Bung Moktar accepted bribes from Madhi Abdul Hamid, an investment agent for Public Mutual Berhad, through his wife Zizie Izette. Further details indicate that Bung Moktar was also charged with receiving RM337,500 in cash from Norhaili Ahmad Mokhtar, a unit trust consultant, on June 19, 2015, with the funds allegedly channelled under Zizie Izette's name. Zizie Izette herself was charged with three counts of abetting her husband in these alleged offences.
