Second Payout in June

The remaining portion of the RM2,000 financial aid will be distributed in June next year. This phased approach ensures a structured distribution of the funds. The announcement was made by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor during the tabling of the 2025 Budget in the State Assembly.
Additional Remuneration System Changes

Beyond the special financial assistance, the Kedah government has also approved the replacement of the Malaysian Remuneration System (SSM) with the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA), effective from December 1. This change necessitates an additional allocation of RM30 million for all departments to manage salary adjustments for state civil servants who opt for the SSPA. The salary increase under this new system is set to commence with December's payroll, with a total increase of RM2 million for the current year.
