Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor has directed that each state ministry must submit a report detailing the implementation and achievement status of the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) initiative on an annual basis. This requirement will commence on March 29 of this year, marking one year since the launch of the SMJ roadmap.
Annual Reporting Commencement

The directive specifies that the first set of these annual reports will be tabled on March 29, 2023. This date coincides with the first anniversary of the Hala Tuju SMJ, which was introduced as a five-year development plan for Sabah.
Open Day for Public Engagement

In conjunction with the report submissions, an Open Day will be organised on March 29. This event is intended to allow the public to engage with the progress and outcomes of the SMJ initiatives, enabling them to "listen, see and feel the meaning and value" of the roadmap.
Inclusion of Federal Agencies

Beyond state ministries, federal agencies operating within Sabah are also expected to present their planning and the status of programmes and projects they are implementing. The State Federal Secretary’s office has been tasked with coordinating the participation of these federal bodies in the planned Open Day.
