The royal couple arrived in the city on Wednesday, May 4th, for a series of engagements.
Arrival in London

Their Majesties arrived at Luton Airport in London on Wednesday, May 4th, at 9:30 pm local time. The special aircraft carrying the King, Queen, and their delegation was met by representatives from Buckingham Palace, including Deputy Lord Lieutenant Elizabeth Slack and the Foreign Secretary's special representative David Gordon-MacLeod. The Malaysian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Datuk Zakri Jaafar, and his wife were also present to welcome them.
Purpose of the Visit

The special visit to London was undertaken at the invitation of King Charles III. A key event during their stay was the Coronation Ceremony of King Charles III, which took place at Westminster Abbey on May 6th. Prior to the ceremony, Their Majesties were also scheduled to attend a reception hosted by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace on May 5th.
Duration of the Visit

The official duration of Their Majesties' special visit to London extends until May 14th. This engagement follows a previous visit to London in October 2022, during which they had an audience with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace on October 12th.
