Two new Covid-19 clusters involving educational institutions have been identified, with one located in Kuala Muda, Sungai Petani, Kedah, and the other in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. These clusters were declared workplace clusters today by the Ministry of Health after detecting more than 20 cases in each.
Permatang Berangan Cluster in Kedah

The Permatang Berangan cluster is situated in Kuala Muda, Sungai Petani, Kedah. Within this cluster, 28 individuals tested positive for Covid-19 out of 51 screenings conducted.
Jalan Khidmat Cluster in Sabah

The Jalan Khidmat cluster has been identified in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This cluster involves a 14-year-old student who initially tested positive on April 12. Subsequent screenings have identified an additional 24 positive cases among students and teachers, following a total of 796 screenings.
