The search and rescue operation for the missing jet ski rider has been relocated to Santubong following the discovery of the victim's jet ski. The operation today encompasses an area of 356.38 nautical square miles, extending from Trombol beach to Tanjung Sipang.
Jet Ski Discovered at Tanjung Sipang

The green-coloured jet ski, confirmed by family members to belong to the victim, was found approximately 8.2 nautical miles west of Tanjung Sipang by a fishing boat. It was subsequently towed to the Pak Amit jetty in Santubong early this morning. Family members stated they had not received any contact from the rider.
Expanded Search Area

The current search zone covers a significantly larger area compared to the initial operations. Yesterday, the search was confined to a 96.82 nautical square miles radius around Talang Talang Besar Island in Sematan. Today's expanded operation, led by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA), includes multiple agencies such as the marine police, Sarawak Coastguard, the Police Air Wing Unit, the Fire and Rescue Department, and the Civil Defence Force.
MMEA Advises Maritime Community

In light of the incident, the MMEA is advising the maritime community to avoid venturing out to sea during adverse weather conditions. They also recommend equipping themselves with a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) and a life jacket for safety at sea.
