Technology and Digital Industries

The reform agenda includes a significant push towards industries based on technology and digital advancements. This is part of a broader objective to enhance productivity by embracing advanced technology and fostering the development of a skilled workforce, aiming to make Malaysia a preferred investment destination.
High-Value Electrical and Electronic Industries

Efforts will be directed towards strengthening the high-value electrical and electronic (E&E) industries. This focus aims to capitalise on existing strengths within the sector and elevate its contribution to the national economy through increased value addition and technological sophistication.
Agricultural and Agro-Based Industries

Reforms are also planned for the agricultural and agro-based sectors. This includes the development of a new National Mineral Policy, which will guide mining activities sustainably and responsibly, particularly in sensitive environmental areas.
Rare Earth Industries

The government intends to develop the rare earth industry and has indicated a policy to ban the export of rare earth raw materials. This measure is designed to prevent resource exploitation, minimise losses, and ensure maximum returns for the country from its rare earth resources.
