Beyond infrastructure development, the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) is also providing relief to traders impacted by recent flash floods on April 20 and May 6. Initiatives include exemptions and reductions in rental rates for affected traders on Jalan 223, with a 30 per cent rent reduction implemented from July to December. MBPJ is also installing alarm systems and drain water level detectors, alongside facility improvements.
