The selection criteria prioritised schools with a significant percentage of students from low-income households.
National Rollout and Scope

This programme forms the first phase of a nationwide implementation, scheduled to begin on January 20. Across the country, 100 primary schools will be involved in this initial phase, which is expected to benefit approximately 37,000 students and 1,600 teachers on a daily basis. The estimated cost for this first phase is RM22 million.
Programme Menu Concept

The breakfast provided under the PSP will adhere to a "Grab ‘n’ Go" concept. This approach will feature nutritious drinks alongside simple, easily consumable food items. The menu is designed to include options such as bread, biscuits, cereal snacks, local cakes, sandwiches, fruits, and boiled eggs, ensuring a balanced and convenient start to the school day for the participating students.
