While JKSM stated that it had implemented various SOPs before and during the conference, the proximity of attendees to positive cases led to this operational pause.
Minister's Covid-19 Diagnosis as a Factor

A significant factor contributing to the postponement was the confirmed Covid-19 diagnosis of the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Seri Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, who also attended the PKPSN 2020 conference. Deferral of Appeal Case Management

This deferral will continue until his own Covid-19 test results are available. Furthermore, appeal cases in Sabah involving the JKSM appeal panel have been postponed from October 12, aligning with the existing inter-state travel restrictions.
