The contract covers selected automotive structural components
Under the letter of acceptance, Automev Global will manufacture and supply selected automotive structural components. These components are intended to support Proton’s vehicle production requirements for the new model.
Production will run from the group’s Telok Panglima Garang facility
KHPT stated that production will be carried out at the group’s existing manufacturing facility in Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor. This is the facility where Automev Global will produce the selected components for Proton.
Timeline for acceptance and announcement consent
KHPT said the letter of acceptance was accepted by Automev Global on May 6, 2026. Proton’s consent for the release of the announcement to Bursa Malaysia was obtained on June 16, 2026.
