Five players have been called up to join the national Under-23 squad's centralised training camp in preparation for the 2022 Asean Football Federation (AFF) Under-23 Championship. Three of these players were initially on the reserve list, while the other two are new additions. The national squad is scheduled to depart for Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on February 12.
Players from the Reserve List Added

Muhammad Firdaus Kaironnisam and Muhammad Najmuddin Akmal Kamal Akmal, both from Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) III, along with K. Thivandaran of Penang FC, have been incorporated into the squad from the reserve list. These three players have been part of the training camp since January 27 and 28 respectively.
New Additions from Negri Sembilan FC

A. Selvan and N. Javabilaarivin, both representing Negri Sembilan FC, are the other two players who have been called up. They reported for duty on the day of the announcement, joining the ongoing preparations for the championship.
Championship Details and Schedule

The AFF Under-23 Championship 2022 is set to take place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from February 14 to February 26. The national Under-23 team will commence their Group B campaign against Myanmar on February 15 at the Prince Stadium. Their subsequent group matches are against Laos on February 18 and Indonesia on February 21.
