For Stadium Shah Alam Station, MBSA said Prasarana was required to provide pedestrian walkways connecting Jalan Lontar Peluru 13/39 to Jalan Tukul Besi 13/41, and also along Persiaran Sukan near MSU. It also said the existing walkway from Jalan Tukul Besi 13/41 to the temporary car park must be upgraded.
Nearby developers also face the same pedestrian-link conditions
MBSA stated that similar requirements were imposed on nearby developments involving MSU Aset Sdn Bhd, PKNS, and Fernline Corporation Sdn Bhd. It added that the same type of conditions also applied to Moripark Sdn Bhd and Lebaran Prospek Sdn Bhd.
The station-area works are part of MBSA’s 2019 planning approvals
MBSA said pedestrian walkways linking LRT3 stations to surrounding developments were incorporated into development plans approved as early as 2019. It described these approvals as planning conditions requiring pedestrian walkways within a 200-metre radius of each station, with handover not accepted until construction is fully completed according to the approved infrastructure plans.
