All officers attached to the Federal Territories Ministry’s office are undergoing voluntary home quarantine.

Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa is currently in voluntary home quarantine after one of his special officers tested positive for Covid-19. As a precautionary measure, all officers attached to the ministry’s office are also undergoing voluntary quarantine at their respective homes. Screening tests for all close contacts have been performed, with results currently pending.

The Federal Territories Minister’s office, located on the sixth floor of Menara Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) 1, has undergone sanitisation work. The ministry’s statement indicated that the office would remain closed for several days following the incident.
Previous Quarantine Instance

This marks the second occasion that Annuar Musa has been required to undergo Covid-19-related home quarantine due to close contact. Previously, in September of last year, he was placed in self-isolation in Kota Kinabalu after being identified as a close contact of Umno supreme council member Datuk Mohd Razlan Rafii, who had tested positive for the virus.
Minister's Apology for Inconvenience

Annuar Musa, who also serves as the Ketereh Member of Parliament, has extended an apology for any inconvenience caused by these measures. The ministry issued a statement on its Facebook page detailing the situation late last night.
