Malaysian motorists will benefit from toll discounts and waivers on 30 highways nationwide for the Hari Raya Puasa celebrations, with the total estimated savings for drivers reaching RM77.1 million. This initiative was announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in conjunction with the transition phase towards endemicity and the upcoming festive period.
Toll Waivers for Specific Highways

PLUS, managing the North-South Expressway, will provide a complete toll waiver for all vehicle classes from midnight on April 30 to 11:59 PM on May 1. Similarly, Anih Berhad, which operates the East Coast Expressway, will also waive tolls during the same period. Both concessionaires will extend this toll waiver to the return journey, effective from midnight on May 7 to 11:59 PM on May 8.
Discounts Offered by Other Operators

Beyond the full waivers, other highway operators have agreed to provide discounts ranging from 30 to 50 per cent for motorists utilising their routes. These discounts are also part of the government's initiative to ease the travel burden for the Keluarga Malaysia returning to celebrate Aidilfitri.
Financial Implication for Operators

The aggregate cost of these toll discounts and waivers is estimated to amount to RM77.1 million. This significant sum will be borne entirely by the highway concessionaires themselves, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the festive travel period.
