Ongoing Legal Proceedings

Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is currently facing 47 charges in his trial. These include 12 counts of criminal breach of trust involving RM31 million of Yayasan Akalbudi funds. Approximately RM1.3 million of these funds are alleged to have been used for credit card bills, with other charges encompassing money laundering and bribery. Yayasan Akalbudi was established with the objective of alleviating poverty and assisting the less fortunate.
