S. Ravi Chandaran, who is the defence’s sixth witness, testified that the RM3.5 million offer was presented to him via a prisons officer. This statement was made during cross-examination by counsel Datuk N. Sivananthan, who represents Colonel Dr R. Kunaseegaran. This specific offer was reportedly made in February 2018, as detailed in a police report lodged by Ravi Chandaran on January 26, 2018.
Multiple Offers to Plead Guilty

In addition to the offer allegedly linked to Najib Tun Razak, Ravi Chandaran also stated that Datuk Richard Morais, the younger brother of the victim, Kevin Morais, had previously offered him money to plead guilty. Ravi Chandaran lodged a police report on January 26, 2018, detailing that Richard Morais had offered RM2 million for him to admit guilt. Earlier, on December 29, 2017, Ravi Chandaran had also testified that Colonel Dr R. Kunaseegaran offered him RM1.5 million to admit guilt.
Total Alleged Offer Amount

Ravi Chandaran agreed to the suggestion that the cumulative amount of money offered to him by the various individuals involved for him to plead guilty reached RM7 million. He disagreed with suggestions that he had fabricated the story about the money or that there was no reason for these individuals to make such offers. He also denied that Colonel Dr R. Kunaseegaran had ordered him to kill Kevin Morais or to do anything else to the victim, such as kidnapping.
