Royal Attendance at the Conference

Several other prominent royal figures and state governors were in attendance at the meeting. His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, was present, alongside the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, and the Sultan of Kedah, Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah. The Regent of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, also participated, as did the Crown Prince of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Tengku Laksamana of Selangor, Tengku Sulaiman Shah.

Further royal representation included the Crown Prince of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, and Tunku Temenggong of Johor, Tunku Idris Iskandar Sultan Ibrahim. The meeting also saw the participation of several state governors, namely the Governor of Penang, Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak; the Governor of Melaka, Tun Mohd Ali Rustam; the Governor of Sabah, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin; and the Governor of Sarawak, Tun Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.

Prior to this main conference, Sultan Ibrahim had attended the pre-council meeting for the 266th Conference of Rulers, also held at Istana Negara. The preceding two-day meeting of the Conference of Rulers was convened on February 21 and 22.
