If employers encounter difficulties in obtaining approvals for foreign workers and their complaints to the Human Resources Ministry receive no response within a week, they can escalate their concerns. Initially, complaints should be lodged through the existing channels of the Department of Labour Peninsular Malaysia (JTKSM), which is mandated to respond within seven days. Should this seven-day period pass without a resolution, complainants are directed to contact three specific officers within the ministry and its partners. If these steps do not yield a response, a final avenue is available through an aide to Lim Guan Eng.
Escalation to Ministry Officials

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan has assured that complaints submitted via the JTKSM channel will receive a response within seven days. If this timeframe is not met, employers are advised to directly contact Hasmiza Hassan, who is from the One Stop Centre Bahagian Pengurusan Pekerja Migran (BPPM) and can be reached at hasmiza@mohr.gov.my. Additionally, Nurafezah Jaafar from JTKSM (nurafezah@mohr.gov.my) and Shukri from Bestinet (shukri@bestinet.com.my) are designated points of contact for follow-up complaints.
Contacting Lim Guan Eng's Office

As a further recourse, if the designated ministry officials do not provide a response after the initial seven-day period and the subsequent direct complaints, employers or the public can reach out to Lim Guan Eng's officer. This contact can be made via email at tankhongchong80@gmail.com for further pursuit with the ministry. This mechanism is intended to assist those who have exhausted the standard complaint procedures without resolution.
Addressing Foreign Worker Shortages
