Datuk Seri Abd Rahim Jaafar's career in the PDRM spans over three decades, commencing with his enlistment as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) on February 2, 1986. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His early assignments included roles as Secret Society ASP at the Kelantan police contingent headquarters CID and Pasir Mas district deputy police chief.
Key Leadership Positions Held

Throughout his tenure, Abd Rahim occupied various significant leadership positions within the police force. These included deputy chief roles for CID in Terengganu and Kedah, deputy police chief of Penang and Selangor, and deputy director of Bukit Aman's Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) for Investigation. He also served as the Kedah police chief before his appointment as Bukit Aman Management Department director on January 29, 2019.
Transition to JKDNKA Director Role

Abd Rahim took charge as the JKDNKA director on September 9, 2020. His impending retirement marks the end of a long and distinguished service record.
