This strategic insight is crucial for tasks that go beyond data processing, such as identifying errors in AI-generated information, which is a reason cited by 31 per cent of respondents.

The application of judgement and validation by professionals is also a key factor, with 30 per cent of investors relying on this aspect. The Complementary Role of AI and Human Expertise

While AI tools are being adopted for their speed and analytical capabilities, the survey indicates a strong preference for a combined approach. More than half of Malaysian investors, specifically 58 per cent, believe their ideal future financial decision-making process involves a partnership between humans and AI. This suggests that AI is seen as a supplementary tool that enhances, rather than replaces, the role of human financial advisors.
