Development of Pork-Free Broth

Ichiran has developed a chicken-based broth that took over two decades to perfect, with the goal of replicating the taste of their famous tonkotsu (pork-based) ramen. This extended development period highlights the company's commitment to achieving an authentic flavour profile in their pork-free offering. Ichiran already operates two shops in Tokyo and Osaka that serve their pork-free ramen, indicating a successful precedent for this adaptation.
Product Offerings and Pricing

The pork-free ramen will be available at the pop-up for RM22 per bowl, with a daily limit of 500 servings. In addition to freshly prepared ramen, Ichiran will also offer pork-free instant noodles for RM110 per box, containing five servings, limited to 50 boxes per day. For those who prefer the traditional tonkotsu flavour, instant noodles with the original pork-based soup will also be available at RM108 per box, also capped at 50 boxes daily. The special Ichiran red powder seasoning will be sold separately for RM43.
Experiential Elements and Logistics

To recreate the unique Ichiran dining experience, the KL pop-up will feature six of the private ramen booths, allowing diners to focus solely on their meal. Standing seats will also be available, mirroring the quick-meal culture often found in Japan. The pop-up will be located on the first floor of Isetan Suria KLCC and will operate daily from 11am to 8pm throughout the event period. The first 50 customers purchasing any Ichiran products will receive a complimentary commemorative towel.
