Widespread Usage and Business Participation

Within the first three days of its implementation, the SARa credit saw significant uptake, with over 2.9 million individuals utilizing the credit to purchase essential items. This resulted in a total spending of RM192.4 million nationwide. The programme encompasses a broad network of over 7,000 participating business premises, including local neighbourhood shops, larger bumiputera businesses like Mydin, and international supermarket chains, ensuring accessibility for recipients across various retail environments.
High Transaction Volume and System Upgrades

The implementation of the SARa credit has demonstrated a substantial volume of transactions. On the third day alone, more than 1.1 million successful transactions were recorded by midnight, representing a nearly fourfold increase compared to previous peak capacities. To manage this high demand and ensure a smooth user experience, the processing capacity of the system has been significantly upgraded from 5,000 to 15,000 queries per minute.
