State Housing and Environment Committee chairman Datuk Seri S. Sundarajoo highlighted this aspect as a key factor in the selection process.

This innovative concept, where a single plot accommodates two homes—one on the ground floor and another on the upper floor—is being implemented for the first time by the Penang Housing Board (LPNPP). The development on a 10-hectare plot is priced at a maximum of RM250,000 per unit and is scheduled for completion by 2028, utilising the Industrialised Building System (IBS).
