Weekly meetings involving over 20 systems are being conducted to manage the transition effectively.
Phased Rebranding and Staff Absorption

Flights are slated to begin in January 2026 using aircraft already bearing the AirBorneo livery, with a gradual, six-month period planned for the complete rebranding of the fleet. All existing MASwings staff will be integrated into AirBorneo's operations unless they opt out, ensuring continuity of service for the RAS.
Licence Variations and Future Expansion

Upon completion of the takeover, AirBorneo will apply for a variation to its existing air operator's licence, requiring approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) and adherence to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards.
