These savings can then be channelled into improving public infrastructure, healthcare, and the education sector.
Rebates for Domestic Consumers

Specific rebates will continue for various domestic consumer groups. For the period of January to June 2025, a rebate of two cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) will be sustained for 6.9 million domestic consumers who use less than 600 kWh per month. Additionally, 1.3 million consumers using less than 1,500 kWh will see no change in their tariffs. A rebate of 10 cents/kWh will be provided to 85,000 consumers who exceed 1,500 kWh of usage.
Support for Low-Income Households

The government remains dedicated to supporting low-income groups through the RM40 Electricity Rebate Programme. This programme specifically targets electricity users categorised as Hardcore Poor and registered within the e-Kasih System. An allocation of RM55 million has been set aside for this initiative, ensuring continued financial relief for the most vulnerable households.
