Investments made through the Employees Provident Fund's (EPF) i-Invest platform via i-Akaun will not incur any upfront fees for eligible members participating in the Members Investment Scheme (EPF MIS). This fee waiver is part of a broader initiative by EPF to reduce costs for members and support the fund management industry.
Reduction in Upfront Fees for Agents

For investments conducted through agents, the maximum upfront fee has been halved, dropping from 3.0 per cent to 1.5 per cent. This reduction is applicable for a 12-month period, commencing May 1, 2020, and concluding on April 30, 2021.
EPF's Service Fee Reduction for Fund Management Institutions

In addition to member-facing fee reductions, EPF is also cutting its service fee charged to Fund Management Institutions (FMIs) by 50 per cent for the same 12-month duration. This specific service fee, which is based on assets under management and not directly charged to members, has been lowered from 0.125 per cent to 0.0625 per cent.
Special Fee Reduction for Older Members

Members aged 55 and above who transact through i-Invest will also benefit from a reduced service fee. The service fee charged to FMIs by EPF for withdrawals made by this demographic via i-Invest is now set at 0.125 per cent, down from the previous 0.250 per cent.
Scope of Fee Reductions

It is important to note that these fee reductions are exclusively applicable to investments made under the EPF MIS. These measures do not extend to other EPF transactions or services offered by the provident fund.
