Nancy indicated that the Bills might not be scheduled for the current session due to a crowded parliamentary agenda. Critically, for the Bills to gain a simple majority of 112 votes in the Dewan Rakyat, PAS, with its 21 MPs, would require the unanimous support of all Umno MPs and additional backing from other non-Muslim parties, given the rejection from DAP and PKR.
