Increased DC Charger Deployment Under Consideration

As of January 1, 2024, Malaysia had established a total of 2,020 EV charging bays nationwide, excluding Labuan. The current distribution indicates a greater number of AC chargers, but the government's focus on DC chargers suggests an effort to enhance the capabilities for longer travel.
Collaboration to Expedite Charger Installation

To support the government's objective of expanding the EV charging network, a concession company will work in partnership with Tenaga Nasional Bhd. This collaboration is crucial for guaranteeing a sufficient and stable power supply necessary for the operation of DC-type EV charging stations, which require significantly more power than AC chargers.
