Transport Minister Anthony Loke has directed the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) to take the “maximum” punitive action against Prasarana Malaysia Bhd following the derailment of an LRT train near Chan Sow Lin station on the Ampang–Sri Petaling Line. He said the government would not treat the incident as a routine service disruption because of potential safety risks to passengers and staff. Loke also stated that APAD opened an investigation immediately.
