The government is considering a RM5 million Matching Grant under Budget 2027 to bolster efforts aimed at strengthening national identity, patriotism, and national unity. This initiative, overseen by the National Archives of Malaysia, encompasses the revival of ten statesmen's memorials across the nation and the acceleration of digitising historical records. Furthermore, the plan includes the organisation of interactive exhibitions in public spaces, such as educational institutions and transport hubs, to engage the public. As part of these efforts, a proposal has been made to the Sabah Government to allocate suitable land for the development of the Sabah Statesman Memorial, honouring figures instrumental in shaping the state's and country's history.
Support for Educational Institutions

In addition to the proposed grant, the MADANI government will allocate activity grants totalling RM10,000 to 189 Rukun Negara Secretariats located in higher learning institutions. These funds are intended to support the implementation of programmes focused on nation-building, patriotism, and unity among students. The aim is to foster a stronger spirit of unity among students from diverse racial backgrounds and to reactivate the Student Integration Plan for Unity as a more effective platform for interaction and national integration.
Revitalising Rukun Negara Clubs

Grants amounting to RM5,000 will be disbursed to 6,849 Rukun Negara Clubs operating within schools. This funding is designated to revitalise the practice and appreciation of the Rukun Negara principles from an early age. These initiatives collectively aim to cultivate Rukun Negara Young Ambassadors and continuously reinforce the appreciation and culture of these principles among the younger generation.
Continuous Nurturing of Unity

The Prime Minister emphasised that unity requires ongoing effort and should not be taken for granted, warning against complacency. He highlighted that prolonged periods of peace can sometimes lead to an underestimation of the various influences that can erode togetherness and promote sentiments contrary to the spirit of unity. Therefore, continuous nurturing and defence against divisive efforts are essential to preserve national cohesion.
